Nurturing Young Voices: Supporting Children Who Fear Speaking in Public

As parents, we often witness our children experiencing a wide range of emotions as they navigate the challenges of growing up.

One particular hurdle that can trigger intense feelings is the prospect of speaking in public, whether it be in front of their classmates or perhaps at a school event of some kind .e.g. an assembly or school play.

The butterflies fluttering in their stomachs, the racing heartbeat, and the fear of judgment can overwhelm even the most confident of children.

As a child therapist, I have seen first-hand the impact that public speaking anxiety can have on a child's self-esteem and overall well-being.

So in this week's video, I aim to provide you with practical strategies and insights to help your children cope with those big emotions and develop the skills necessary to conquer their public speaking fears.

Together we can nurture their young voice and empower them to confidently express themselves in any situation.

Warmest wishes
