Helping Children Cope With Change: Part Three - When A loved One is Ill

Nov 19, 2021
Young girl visiting sick woman in hospital
Welcome to Part 3 of this mini-series on helping children cope with change.
This one is all about when someone your child loves is ill, and how you can ensure that they understand what is happening and feel included as much as is possible and appropriate, depending on the circumstances.
Hopefully if someone your child loves is ill, they will make a full recovery.  But if it is the case that the illness is terminal then I am planning a separate post on this subject as part of a new mini-series on bereavement next year.
I hope this video offers some useful ideas you will feel able to implement.
Warmest wishes
