Rising Mental Health Concerns in Children and Young People: The Impact of ChangeJan 27, 2023
In this week's video - part 3 of my mini-series exploring possible causes for the sharp increase of children and teenagers experiencing mental health concerns - I explore role that change and transitions can play.
Children may experience a range of emotions, such as anxiety, fear, or sadness, in response to changes and transitions in their lives. These changes can include things like moving to a new home, starting at a new school, experiencing a loss or change in family structure, or dealing with a major illness or injury.
Children may also experience changes in their relationships with friends, family, and caregivers.
All these changes can be stressful for children, and can lead to feelings of uncertainty, insecurity, and loss of control.
