How to Tell If Your Child is Stressed or Overwhelmed

Sometimes our children seem to behave badly,  and it can feel like they are being really difficult or naughty! But how do we know if this really is the case, or whether their behaviour is a sign that there's something wrong.

Young children don't have the emotional maturity or the vocabulary to express what they are feeling to us, and so it often comes out in what looks like naughtiness but its actually stress or overwhelm.

As Jessica Stephens says "There is no such thing as a bad kid - just angry, hurt, tired, scared, confused, impulsive ones, expressing their feelings and needs the only way they know how. We owe it to every single one of them to remember that"

In today's video I talk all about this subject, and how to recognise when your child is feeling stressed or overwhelmed.

I hope you find it helpful.
